Chapter Bylaws Retreat-Batroun village Club28-29 February 2012 ,
Aiming to function in an efficient way that promotes its objectives, the University of Balamand Alumni Association (UOBAA) decided to involve all of the members around the world and consolidate their efforts through enabling them to function in groups created within their geographic zones where they reside and work.
This vital step requested the drafting of the guidelines of policies and procedures under which these chapters will operate. For this reason a draft for Chapters' By-laws has been preliminary set for discussion by all higher committee members.
A special focused retreat was called for during the weekend 28-29 February 2012 in Batroun Village Club, Batroun, LEBANON to discuss and approve the final draft by all the higher committee members.
It is the primary objective of UOBAA to set the platforms for the Chapters to function effectively in order to support the values and objectives of the association and those of the University whenever they are.

Annual Cheese & Wine Evening

The University of Balamand Alumni Association held its Annual Cheese & Wine Event at Casa Del Lobo-Fih, El-Koura on Saturday 17th of December, 2011.
Alumni from various classes ranging from 1192 to 2007 met together for an amazing night. We had a lot fun, especially when many alumni sang beautiful songs. We have to mention Mohamamd El Chaar, an alumnus and a professional Singer, who attended the evening, to add a nice touch to the evening with his performance.
The evening went on with a lot of laughter, good food, tasteful wine and an extraordinary ambiance. Several of the attendees, like Dr. Walid Moubayed, Magda Nassif, Maya Haydar and Ziad Nehmeh, decided to add to the vocal repertoire with many folkloric and familiar Arabic songs for everyone to join in.
The night ended with all the alumni gathering for the cutting the buche de noel and the traditional group picture.
We hope all our events will continue to bring together old and new graduates of UOB in cheerful occasions.
